ROMYNOX is growing! Last autumn we moved from our trusted old building on the Henricuskade in The Hague to our temporary accommodation in Nootdorp. The growth and expansion are a good reason to build a whole new facilty that fully meets our wishes. It will be located on the new business park ‘Heron’ in the muncipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp. Which is situated only a 10 minute drive from our current building, next to the highway A12 and near metro station Nootdorp.
Heron wants to become one of the most sustainable business parks in the Netherlands. ROMYNOX goes along with this idea and considers sustainability of great importance. The building is being built according to the BREEAM-standard, to make it a healthy building for its habitants and surroundings. It will be energy neutral and it will get enough charging stations for electric cars.
Marjolein Schlarmann is guiding the project of the building on behalf of ROMYNOX, together with project developer Hans van Winden.
New location by the end of 2022

Vertical storage systems
- We will equip the new building with a modern warehouse with vertical storage systems from KardexRemstar. Last week, Ronald van der Boon
and Huib Visser of Kardex signed the order.
“Over the past year we have grown rapidly in terms of employees, orders and stock. As a result, we were looking for a system that would allow us to make optimum use of our height of 11 metres, pick orders without errors and employees do not have to travel long distances. With a height of 10.5 meters, the shuttles are an impressive appearance, but they also ensure that the products are stored dust-free, and that work can be done paperless and automated, " explains Ronald van der Boon
Cleanroom ISO 7 ordered
- In the new building, ROMYNOX will have its own ISO 7 classified Cleanroom of over 300 m2
. Our partner Weiss Technik will take care of the installation in the second half of 2022, so that we can supply sterile single-use sets directly to the (bio) pharmaceutical industry from 2023. Last week, Ronald van der Boon
and Kees Winkel, managing director of Weiss Technik, signed the agreement, under the watchful eye of Sierk van der Veen
, our single-use expert, and Tejal Sinde, who guides us in setting up processes and procedures in the cleanroom. We look forward to a great collaboration.
- On Tuesday 22-02-2022, Ronald van der Boon
and alderman Ilona Jense-van Haarst, from the municipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp, together with project developer Hans van Winden and special guest Milan Heuver, drove the first pile of the new ROMYNOX building. After the final blow was given to the customized pile, the 60 guests made a toast to a successful construction. We can't wait to move into our building at the end of 2022!
The sustainable building is being realized by F5 Projectengroep in collaboration with Kromwijk Elektro, B&V Techniek and Office Projects.
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AWARDED
- On November 29, 2021, ROMYNOX instructed F5 project group to start construction. Ronald van der Boon
, project developer Hans van Winden and Henk Reijneveld (owner of F5) sign the contracts. Construction will start in January 2022. DESIGN READY, PERMIT TO BUILD ISSUED
BUILDING DESIGN FINISHED - READY TO BUILD!
June 2021 - Over the past six months, we have worked hard to finalize the building design. All necessary permits have been given and building materials can be ordered. The total working area of the building will be 2100 M2, divided over first floor and two floors. On the first floor there will be a large warehouse and workshop. On the second floor we will build modern clean rooms and on the second floor we will furnish an industrial-style place where we like to work and meet.

December 2020 - It is ours! Since Tuesday 29 December 2020, we officially own Stoomweg 23. Over 1600 square meter at a brand new, sustainable Business park with great accessibility. Our dream to create our own building is one step closer! After this, it was time for Ronald to toast with our project developer. Cheers!
PURCHASE OF THE LOT
September 2020 - Since Thursday 10 September 2020 ROMYNOX officially bought the lot Stoomweg 23, Business park Heron, Pijnacker-Nootdorp. Our future address! The papers to complete the purchase were signed (corona-proof) at the city hall of Pijnacker-Nootdorp. We cannot wait for the next step!
RESERVATION OF THE LOT
- On this day Ronald van der Boon
signed the reservation agreement, which gave ROMYNOX the right to buy the lot at Business Park Heron. He drove to the lot and signed the agreement together with councilor Ilona Jense, who welcomed us with coffee and cake. A day to never forget!
